He is the man who was born in the high class businessman Sikh family of Jalandhar, Punjab. He belongs to the family of Sardar Sardev Singh Plaha who was involved in the business of Ball bearing as well as Valve factory. In the initial phase, he was more focused to become a businessman but his father inspired him to own a better career in cricket. He was brought up along with his other 5 sisters.

After getting inspired for cricket career, he started receiving his training under Charanjit Singh Bhullar to turn out a better batsman.
